The 19-month-old giggled as his parents wished listeners a Happy New Year as he seemed to have a Stateside drawl. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex started their series roping in their famous friends to reflect on the year.
At one point the couple bring Archie to the microphone, with Harry saying: “You can speak into it”. Meghan then asks: “Archie is it fun?” and he repeats “fun”.
The tot then copies his dad to say “Happy New Year”, followed by a giggle. Archie repeated “Happy” after his father said it, then copied Meghan and said “New”.
But he completed the phrase without any further prompting saying “Year” as his parents laughed.
Sir Elton John and James Corden joined Harry and Meghan as the couple paid tribute to healthcare and frontline workers battling the Covid-19 pandemic.
The couple signed a lucrative deal with Spotify to host and produce podcasts, estimated to be worth around £18million.
The working partnership comes a few months after they signed a Netflix deal, to produce a range of programmes and series, rumoured to be worth more than £100million.
Harry, 36, told podcast listeners: “We’re glad you’re here. As we all know, it’s been a year. And we really want to honour the compassion and kindness that has helped so many people get through it.”
Meghan, 39, added: “And at the same time, to honour those who have experienced uncertainty and unthinkable loss. Our thoughts have been with you, especially during this holiday season.”
