Archie’s mane has captured the attention of dozens of fans of the Sussexes after the Duke and Duchess released an artistic rendition of a recently-taken family picture. In it, the 19-month-old appears to have taken after Prince Harry’s hair colour, a detail which has sent royal supporters into a frenzy.

One wrote on Twitter: “Oh my beautiful Archie with red hair. And he is soo big”.

A second tweeted: “King Archie has red hair like his daddy”.

Another delighted royal fan added: “Harry and Archie are twinning with red hair.”

And a fourth wrote: “So adorable. Baby Archie has red hair like Papa.”

In the sweet snap, the family-of-three is next to a cottage-like playhouse decorated with baubles and lights chosen by Archie.

A little Christmas tree is also present, and stands next to Meghan.

The Sussexes’ pets, Guy and Pula, are in front of them.

Speaking about the photograph, a representative for Meghan and Harry revealed the picture has been taken by Archie’s beloved grandmother Doria Ragland.

The spokesperson added: “The small Christmas tree, including the homemade ornaments and other decorations, were selected by Archie, and the tree will be replanted after the holidays”.

This card was first shared on Twitter by Mayhew, an animal charity of which Meghan became the patron in January 2019.

Upon sharing the card, the charity wrote: “We’re thrilled to receive wonderful Christmas wishes from our Patron, The Duchess of Sussex, who also made a personal donation, helping dogs, cats and our community.

DON’T MISS

“From all of us at Mayhew, thank you and Merry Christmas.”

Meghan shared a personal note with her patronage, later published on Mayhew’s website, in which she revealed she and her family have donated to a few organisations close to their heart in the run-up to Christmas.

She wrote: “This year we, as a family, have made donations to several charities with you in mind.

“From a local California organisation that helps families transition out of homelessness, to two of our UK patronages: one that supports animal and community welfare, and the other, a memorial fund for a cherished friend that helps to educate children and fight poverty in Uganda, we have honoured their work on behalf of all of us.”

The latter organisation mentioned by Meghan is the Henry Van Straubenzee Memorial Fund, of which the Duke and Duchess became joint patron in 2019.

The other charity the Sussexes have donated to ahead of Christmas is Transition House.

This charity is based in Santa Barbara, where Meghan, Harry and Archie now live, and helps families facing or experiencing homelessness.

Meghan and Harry, who stepped down as senior royals and moved to the US also to protect the privacy of their child, last shared an image of Archie on his first birthday.

On May 6, Save the Children UK published on its Instagram account a brief video filmed by Prince Harry.

In it, Archie sat on his mother’s lap as she read him the children’s book Duck! Rabbit! as part of the Save With Stories initiative launched by the organisation led by Princess Anne.

Other pictures of the little Sussex were shared ahead of Christmas 2019, with Archie taking the centre stage in last year’s Christmas card of the Sussexes, and on New Year’s Eve.
