Asda has today cut the price of one of the nation’s most popular weekly purchases by a huge 26%.
It’s the latest in a line of recent rollbacks which have seen the cost of essentials slashed across stores and online.
The eye-catching 26% reduction has been applied to Asda Grower’s Selection Maris Piper Potatoes, which are now just £1.11 (down from £1.50).
The light and fluffy spuds come in a 2kg bag and are ideal for champion chips and perfect roasties.
They can also be used in delicious recipes for dishes like moussaka and Spanish omelettes, as well as tasty sides like wedges and creamy mash.
An Asda spokesperson said: “We are pleased to announce we are rolling back the prices on a selection of everyday essentials and store cupboard staples. We want to reassure our customers they can access the best value when shopping at Asda week in, week out.”
Asda Grower’s Selection Maris Piper Potatoes are just one of the many key weekly shopping basket items that have been reduced to continue to give shoppers the very best value.
And what’s more, Asda has won the Grocer 33 Price Award (above) — which compares prices across Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Waitrose — for 23 years running*.
