Prime Minister Boris Johnson is to announce new lockdown rules for England in a press conference to take place this lunch time. A slew of new regulations have been brought in as cases of COVID-19 rise up and down the country.
England has been forced to backtrack on its progress out of lockdown as cases rise, with new land renewed local lockdowns in some areas.
The Prime Minister will take to the podium this afternoon to confirm the new rules, and also likely highlight the new campaign aimed at continuing to curb coronavirus as the UK heads into winter.
It is also possible he could announce new lockdown rules for Birmingham – which looks set to be the next city to introduce tough measures this week.
Mr Johnson may also announce more countries are to go onto the quarantine list – with both Greece and Portugal rumoured to be on the chopping block.
