Bristol news: Hundreds march through city as they demand end of restrictions | UK | News (Reports)

Conspiracy theory group Stand Up Bristol staged a lockdown protest at College Green despite warnings from Avon and Somerset Police will face fines for breaking the coronavirus laws.

Supporters gathered from midday before marching through the city.

Avon and Somerset Police tweeted: “We continue to urge people protesting in Bristol city centre to go home.

“While we have well-rehearsed plans in place to manage this event, it is unlawful. We remain in a health crisis and enforcement action has and will continue to be taken.”

 

Piers Corbyn, former leader Labour Jeremy Corbyn’s brother was also speaking at the event was understood to have been arrested.
