The Palace plans to expand its online training programmes and internal website as demand has grown, with more Royal Household staff working from home or unable to attend face-to-face sessions. It aims to boost its online learning for the 1,200 staff who provide invaluable support to the Royal Family.
Most employees are based at Buckingham Palace and St James’s Palace in London, Windsor Castle, or Edinburgh’s Palace of Holyroodhouse.
As part of expanding its online learning, it is looking for a £30,000-a-year digital learning adviser with “the skills that will help shape our future”.
It added: “With circa 1,200 employees spanning a diverse range of roles, our internal digital platforms are currently more important than ever; ensuring everyone is informed, connected, and able to learn and work effectively regardless of their location. The huge increase in demand we have seen for digital learning during the pandemic is likely to continue as we consider more flexible ways of working post-Covid, making your role key to our future.”
The permanent role will include “partnering with internal specialists to transform ‘must-know’ training into engaging online courses”.
It is understood members of the Royal Family will not be taking part in the training.
The Palace is also looking for a £27,000-a-year senior employee communications assistant to boost its social intranet to ensure it is a “must visit” place for staff.
The deadline for applications is next Sunday.
