Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall will be encouraging a “real focus” on the Commonwealth with her new project. The senior royal is launching an Instagram page dedicated to books and reading. ITV Royal Rota podcast hosts Chris Ship and Lizzie Robinson discussed Camilla’s drive behind the venture.
Ms Robinson told listeners: “We know how passionate the Duchess of Cornwall is about reading and literacy.
“She’s the patron of numerous organisations related to it.
“She’s basically hoping to encourage people to pick up a book, to engage, to talk about, to grow a community around the love of books.
“This will officially launch on January 15.”

Mr Ship continued: “The Reading Room will suggest four titles, and there’ll be discussions with the authors of those titles.
“Then throughout the seasons, there will be new books added to the list.
“They want it to feel global, there’ll be a real focus on authors from across the Commonwealth.
“There’ll also be a range of different types of literature.”
In a video posted to Clarence House social media, Camilla told the author: “I’ve read [the book] so many times.
“It’s an easy read but it’s a deep read at the same time.
“I just love your drawings.
“I spent my whole life as a child doodling horses here, there and everywhere.
“I used to do it everywhere, but mine, unfortunately, haven’t turned out like yours.”
