The Christmas card image was taken by a member of their staff.

Charles and Camilla will spend Christmas Day at Highgrove, their Gloucestershire home.

They are expected to see the Queen and Prince Philip at Windsor Castle during the festive period.

The monarch is usually joined by other members of the Royal Family at Sandringham in Norfolk for Christmas.

But she will have a quiet December 25 this year with the Duke of Edinburgh at her Berkshire residence due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Earlier this month, a Buckingham Palace spokeswoman said: “Having considered all the appropriate advice, the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh have decided that this year they will spend Christmas quietly in Windsor.”

It is not known what Prince William and Kate will do for Christmas.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also released their Christmas card on Wednesday.

They are pictured sitting on a bail of hay with their children in the image.

Prince George, seven, Princess Charlotte, five, and two-year-old Prince Louis are pictured smiling as they sit with their parents.

Little Louis looks particularly excited in the adorable family snap.

The picture, taken at Anmer Hall, which has a large woodpile as its backdrop.
