Claiming Eat Out to Help Out this month has allowed people all over the UK to get a discount on meals since August 1. Chancellor Rishi Sunak introduced the scheme to inject cash back into struggling restaurants, many which have yet to recoup lost revenue from the UK-wide lockdown. The benefit gives people a hefty 50 percent discount on their meals, which may seem counterproductive to the Eat Out to Help Out goal.

How do you claim back discounts for Eat Out to Help Out?

Eat Out to Help Out works two ways; it gives customers 50 percent off a meal and subsidises eateries for the trouble.

As such, there is an incentive on both sides to promote the scheme, which has proved successful this month.

A vast range of locations can take advantage of it, providing they meet select criteria.

  • August 10 to 12
  • August 17 to 19
  • August 24 to 26
  • August 31
