The figures provide a rolling seven-day average of 200 deaths, surpassing predictions made just one month ago.
Chief Scientific Officer Sir Patrick Vallance predicted up to 200 deaths per day by mid-November, with daily case totals of 50,000 by now.
The daily case total has maxed out at 27,000 so far, but with little sign of an incoming turning point.
Hospitals have also started to express concerns, with some now having to refocus their attention away from routine treatments.
