On Wednesday, February 10, the Government’s coronavirus dashboard revealed 13,013 new coronavirus cases have been reported, bringing the total in the UK to 3,985,161 since the pandemic began.
This is an 81.6 percent drop from the highest rate recorded on December 29 at 70,816 new coronavirus cases.
The rate of deaths within 28 days of a positive death is also declining with 1,001 new deaths confirmed on Tuesday.
On a single day, 1,345 new deaths were reported which is the highest level seen during the last peak.
The new deaths brought the overall death toll of people who died within 28 days of a positive test to 113,850.
