‘Fancy a job, HUN’ is the slogan on the company’s website. They are on the hunt for their first ever wine taster. The perks of the job will include a year’s supply of wine, exclusive and early access to new wines, and an extra £200 on top. The canned wine has gained several celebrity fans including Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, who featured the wine on This Morning. Phillip said it was the “best wine so far in a tin”.
Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden posted a video on her Instagram story of her enjoying the drink whilst cooking in the kitchen. She said: “I’m totally embracing cooking from scratch, tonight it’s a Mexican and I have a vegan wine on the go which is brand new and it’s called HUN. It tastes delicious and it’s only 69 calories, and this is not an ad.”
The company says “we are all about that eco life” and has ditched bottles for recyclable cans. The wine is also fair trade, vegan and low in calories!
Love Island stars Wes Nelson and Josh Denzel have also been pictured enjoying the wine with Josh captioning his Insta story “We see you HUN” whilst Wes sat poolside surrounded by HUN cans.
HUN was launched in 2020 by Mark Woollard and includes bosses from Red Bull and Waitrose on its board of directors.
Woollard told OK! Online: “Quality of the wine was key for us. We all love a good wine so not only was it important that the can was Instagrammable, but it also needed to be the whole package and taste great too.
“The vineyard works hard to ensure the environmental and social impact of the wine is minimal. Plus, it is the UK’s first canned wine to be both fair trade and vegan. It’s a mindful choice for a mindful generation.”
