Meghan Markle and Harry’s Christmas card discussed by experts
The Gavin and Stacey star is renowned for his relationship with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, which was cemented after he appeared on the debut episode of Harry and Meghan’s podcast series Archewell Audio. Corden, described by Meghan as someone “we admire”, discussed how 2020 had affected him, admitting that he learned he no longer has “FOMO” – a fear of missing out. He explained that his relationship with his children had changed, as he was able to spend more time with them – a view shared by other guests on the broadcast.
It was unsurprising how frank Corden was during his appearance, as his friendship with Sussexes was best highlighted after he was asked to attend, and later perform at, Harry and Meghan’s spectacular wedding in 2018.
Reports from insiders at the event revealed the reception became “raucous”, with members of the Royal Family getting involved in activities ranging from dance-offs to beer pong.
Guests partied at Frogmore House, with Corden “doing his best to entertain… which went down a treat”.
According to the Mirror, a source at the party said: “He even compered a dance-off between Harry, Charles and William.”

They added: “Everyone was laughing because it’s something no one expected.
“Meghan and her mum also joined in. Then everyone danced, which really kicked off the party.”
Among the other guests were sporting legend Serena Williams, who the source claimed “played beer pong like it was tennis”.
Harry enlisted William to carry out the role of Best Man on the day, a position the Duke of Sussex had when the Duke of Cambridge wed Kate Middleton in 2011.

At the time, the Sussexes and Cambridges were riding a wave of immense popularity, sparked by the 2018 royal wedding, and the arrival of William and Kate’s third child, Prince Louis.
Yet, in the years that followed suggestions of a rift between the two brothers have emerged, with some royal authors claiming the row began at some point between 2016 and 2017.
During this period, the 2020 Sussex biography Finding Freedom claims, William had acted “snobbishly” towards Harry and his attitude towards his then-girlfriend Meghan.

Others have argued the row had taken its grip years before that.
Robert Lacey, a royal historian, said the first time a conflict was found came as Harry “resented a stereotype” that had been forced on him.
Mr Lacey told Entertainment Tonight: “William is the King of the castle, and he’s the dirty rascal. And when Kate comes along, he happily falls into the role of number three and it’s all so far so good.
“Then Harry falls in love with Meghan and that really turns things around, and she makes him see things in a new way so that’s where the rift really started with William and Harry. When he saw how deep he was falling in love with Meghan.”

He cited examples, such as the infamous incident where Harry dressed in a Nazi uniform, and the spectacular fallout in the press as an episode that upset the Duke of Sussex.
The author said William helped Harry choose the costume for a party but didn’t take any of the heat after images of him in the uniform emerged.
But writer Angela Levin said in her 2018 book Harry: Conversations with the Prince, that the resentment may have crept in before this, particularly when the pair schooled together at Eton College.

She said: “Harry did complain once or twice that William wasn’t there for him, but he might have been teasing.
“Even if it was true, William at 15 had barely any more experience of life than Harry did, despite spending years trying to be a parent to their mother.
“It was a grown-up’s job and someone should have picked up that he needed professional help.”
