The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are parents to Prince George, seven, Princess Charlotte, five, and two-year-old Prince Louis. William, 38, is just as involved as Kate, 38, in raising their children, new book Finding Freedom claims.

William’s role is a break from royal tradition as Prince Charles, 71, and Prince Philip, 99, are thought to have been less hands-on with their parenting styles.

The book by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand says the Cambridges have an “equal partnership”.

The authors write that William is “involved in every aspect of raising his three children – including school drop-off and pickup, as well as homework”.

The royal couple want to give their three children “normal” upbringings, according to the book.

The book says: “He and Kate, who had an equal partnership when it came to the house, were modern parents.

“William prepared meals as much as Kate did.

“When William and Kate took over the apartment at 1A, they wanted the kitchen to be at the heart of the home.

“It wasn’t just practical; it was also symbolic.

Earlier this year, Meghan, 39, and Harry, 35, ended royal duties.

They are now living in the US with their one-year-old son Archie.

They have bought a huge property in celebrity hotspot Santa Barbara for a reported £11million.

Other claims in Finding Freedom include the Sussexes and the Cambridges hardly spoke at the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey in March, which was Meghan and Harry’s final engagement.

Harry was angered by his older brother’s “snobbish” attitude to Meghan when William advised him not to rush the romance, according to the book.

The book also claims that there was no feud between Meghan and Kate but they had nothing in common.

The Sussexes felt their complaints were not taken seriously and believed other royal households were leaking stories about them to the press, according to the book.

And being told to operate under Buckingham Palace’s umbrella after splitting their household from the Cambridges was “a big disappointment” to Meghan and Harry, the book claims.
