Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince William will be spending lockdown in their Anmer Hall home in Norfolk, according to royal commentators. The couple typically returns to London after the holidays just in time for Prince George and Princess Charlotte to restart their school terms and meet up with their friends again. However, as HeirPod host Omid Scobie and ABC News foreign correspondent Maggie Rulli explained, the Duke and Duchess’ plans have massively changed.
Mr Scobie told listeners: “I imagine for the Cambridges it’s probably a relief for them that they don’t have to come straight back to London.
“Usually the kids would be returning to school around now.
“Of course with the schools officially closed here, it means that George and Charlotte won’t be returning to their school in London.
“So, from what I understand, the whole Cambridge family are still at their home in Anmer Hall.”

He continued: “As for the others, we know that the Queen and Prince Philip are still nestled together at Windsor Castle.
“It’s a different time, and that, of course, will also change how the royals are working.
“Things that may have been scheduled to take place in person will no doubt have been delayed.
“I’m sure we’ll sort of see a return to Zoom engagements.”
Prince Louis is also being hit by the lockdown as he will not be able to begin his nursery education.
The youngest Cambridge child was due to start in January but will have to hold off until the summer term like many other children across the country.
Although education was open during the November semi-lockdown, that is not the case this time around.
All years have been told to learn remotely until February half term.
Primary and secondary schools remain open only for vulnerable children and the children of critical workers.
Louis will therefore be skipping the official first-day photoshoot both George and Charlotte faced when they began nursery.
