Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William have been slowly taking on an increasing number of roles and duties as they prepare to become the next Prince and Princess of Wales. Over the past year, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have appeared on several occasions with their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis as they led efforts to boost morale through the pandemic. Speaking to Express.co.uk, royal expert Marlene Koenig said: “I think there’s more of an effort now.

“I think we’re going to see the children more.

“There’s going to be a concerted effort…not to totally push them out, and they’re not going to be accompanying their parents on anything right now.

“But I do think there’s more of an effort to show them and what they are doing than two-three years ago.”

She added: “I think that’s just another step into the world William will be moving in into the not so distant future.”

The three Cambridge children have already made their public debut by joining the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge during the past few Trooping the Colours.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte also attended Christmas Mass with their parents and the rest of the Royal Family in 2019.

The young royals greeted the public and accepted presents from the bystanders as Kate and Prince William chatted with the crowd.

George, Charlotte and Louis have also taken part in the clap for carers campaign while isolating at Anmer Hall during the first lockdown.

“Elizabeth, now the Queen, was always supported by Princess Margaret.

“There is a kind of unwritten code inside the Royal Family that your job as a sibling is to help share the burden of the monarchy.”

Princess Charlotte could follow in the footsteps of her grand-aunt, Princess Anne, and inherit the title of Princess Royal as she is the eldest daughter of the future king.

Prince Louis will also likely receive his own title once he marries decades in the future as his uncle, Prince Harry, did when he tied the knot with Meghan Markle in 2018.
