Kate wrote a thoughtful thank you message on one of the iconic white information boards scattered around stations in the UK and more commonly known as TfL boards. However, she appears to have left out a letter from the word “country”.

The apparent lack of the letter may simply be due to the Duchess of Cambridge’s handwriting rather than being a typo.

However, a few Twitter users quickly picked up the seemingly wrong spelling of “country” and after pictures of the whiteboard were shared on social media by Kensington Palace.

One Twitter wrote: “Lovely gesture by them both.

“Missed out the N in country tho!… Still, very sweet and thoughtful to all these workers. Merry Christmas to you all.”

Another simply tweeted “*country” to highlight the error.

The benign error didn’t prevent supporters of Kate and William from praising the Cambridges for their touching move.
