Tifare Alexander has worked for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for more than eight years. He was praised for his service to the royal couple and has been made a Member of the Royal Victorian Order by Her Majesty.

Mr Alexander, also known as Tif, is part of the Cambridge’s household along with their nanny Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo.

He is a former Paratrooper and has been hailed for his “superb can-do attitude”.

A royal source previously told that Mr Alexander is “a lovely guy — like all Army, a superb can-do attitude and great sense of humour”.

Other people who work for the Royal Family have also been named on the Queen’s New Year Honours list.

Scott Furssedonn-Wood, the deputy private secretary to Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, has also been made a Member of the Royal Victorian Order.

Mr Furssedonn-Wood was previously the British Deputy High Commissioner in Kolkata from 2013 to 2016.

Prince Charles and Camilla have been accompanied by Mr Furssedonn-Wood on many of their official royal tours overseas.

Earlier this year he joined the royal couple on their visit to Germany.

Ms Fresolone starting working for the Cambridges just before their first child, Prince George, was born.

She even travelled with the Duke and Duchess from their Anglesey home before they took on Amner Hall in Norfolk and Apartment 1A in Kensington Palace.

The Royal Victorian Order was first established in 1896 by Queen Victoria.

Members of the Order are chosen at the Queen’s discretion.

The honour is often awarded to those who have served the Royal Family.

This year in the Queen’s Honours list many frontline workers and heroes during the coronavirus pandemic were recognised.

In the list 231 people were honoured for their services during the pandemic.

Some of those recognised were Special Chief Officer Mark Owen who was made an MBE after coming out of retirement to help the COVID-19 response in North Wales.

Charity volunteer Anne Baker, 106, was awarded an MBE making her the oldest ever recipient of an honour.

Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton was also knighted in the Queen’s New Year Honours list.
