Kate, Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William have prompted an emotional reaction from fans after narrating a special Christmas poem to thank frontline workers for their efforts amid the Covid-19 pandemic. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Christmas poem is the voiceover to a moving montage of footage of frontline workers. Kensington Palace shared the heartwarming video on Twitter on Tuesday morning and it triggered a strong reaction from royal fans.

The Kensington Palace tweet read: “This Christmas we want to say THANK YOU to our key workers and their families for all they have done and for the sacrifices they have made to keep us safe.

“As a small part in that effort, we have worked with @HamleysOfficial @TNLUK to share a bit of Christmas magic…”

The video prompted an emotional outpouring from royal fans on Twitter, with many claiming it had them in tears.

One wrote: “I can’t believe I cried watching that. I don’t do that. Well done to all involved and thank you to all out key workers.”

Another Twitter user preceded their message with a string of crying face emojis before writing: “Stop!!! Christmas is all about the kids and their parents have worked so hard bless them I’m sorry to the west end who have had to close their doors again but I’m glad you were able to do this.”

Another gushed:  “Omg! I’m not crying. What an amazing suprise for them all.”

A third called the new video ‘magical’, writing:  “What a truly magical video, hearing Their Royal Highnesses The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge bringing Christmas alive and thanking key workers & their families ‘Remarkable things happen when we all work together.’”
