Kate, Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William have been busy mastering the art of the video call over the past few months, using apps like Zoom to keep in touch with patronages, charities and Royal Family members. The couple have also stepped out for socially distanced engagements of late, representing the Queen.

This has been a busy few months for the couple, with birthdays for every Cambridge family member except Kate.

Adorable photos of the Cambridge children have been shared to celebrate their birthdays over the past few months, as well as a touching picture of William with his three kids for Father’s Day and his birthday.

The hectic schedule which comes with royal life may have become even busier for Kate and William, following Meghan and Harry’s decision to step back as senior royals.

However, there is one very normal thing which Kate was spotted doing recently, and passers by were stunned.

Kate is a busy mother, however took the time to take her young brood along with her to the shops in March.

The Duchess was spotted in Sainsbury’s in King’s Lynn, nearby to the Cambridge family home of Anmer Hall in Norfolk.

Kate Carter, founder of Ugly Duckling Creations, told Hello!: “She was with the children, and she looked lovely.

“She is absolutely beautiful, and the children were beautiful. They were so well behaved.”

Whether it was playing hockey in three inch heels when visiting a school, or shovelling soil while wearing a dress – Kate has always got stuck into a challenge.

Another down to earth and relatable activity of Kate’s is her passion for photography, in particular that of her children.

Each photo of the young royals shared for birthdays or special occasions are taken by Kate herself.

This year photos taken by her were shared for Prince Louis, Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s birthdays.

Prince William also featured for his birthday and Father’s Day, with an adorable snapshot of the dad of three and his children play fighting.

In fact, Kate is so passionate about photography she launched a competition in conjunction with National Portrait Gallery earlier this year.

The contest called for submissions taken during lockdown – of everyday life during the pandemic, workers, families and more.

There were three categories for the photos Helpers and Heroes, Your New Normal and Acts of Kindness.

Called Hold Still, winning pictures will feature in a virtual exhibition on the Gallery’s website in September and a selection of images will also be shown across the UK later in the year.
