Kate met students at the University of Derby to hear how the coronavirus pandemic is affecting their university life. The Duchess of Cambridge was particularly interested in hearing about what impact COVID-19 and the restrictions in place are having on students living far from their homes.
The Duchess of Cambridge also heard from staff and students what national measures have been put in place to support their mental health.
