Kate and William married in 2011 and the Duchess continues to keep the romance alive with humorous jibes about his hairline. The intimate detail about their playful relationship was revealed by Radio 1 DJ Clara Amfo after she met the royal couple in 2018. The BBC presenter said the pair share “banter” with each other behind closed doors and described the royal duo as a “loving comedy act”.
Ms Amfo said: “Kate had no qualms making fun of William’s hair situation.
“And he took that. There was a lot of banter around that, it was very funny!”
Speaking to Hello! Magazine at the Prince’s Trust Awards last year, she added: “Prince William is the most fun royal that I’ve met.
“He’s got a lot of banter actually. He’s a very funny guy.
“And the banter between him and Kate – his and Kate’s energy is really funny.
“They vibe off each other very well. They were like a really loving comedy act.”
Meanwhile, Ms Amfo also gave a rare insight into Kate and William’s west London home, Kensington Palace, and revealed there was photos of the royals, including Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
She said: “Kensington Palace is a palace, it’s not even a house.
“I’ve learned through home schooling that my patience is a lot shorter than I thought it was, that’s probably been the biggest eye opener for me, and that my wife has super patience.
“Basically we’re a good team tag session, I come in with the children and try and get them to do something and Catherine comes in when frankly everything has gone wrong.
‘I have to admit I’m a bit embarrassed about my maths knowledge, I can’t do Year two maths.”
