Since the start of the lockdown, the Royal Family have used their positions to attempt to bring the nation together. Multiple members of the Royal Family have been seeing visiting members of the public across the nation in order to give royal fans in the UK some hope throughout the pandemic. Amid their actions, Express.co.uk asked in a poll today, October 20: “Who has been the best royal role model during the COVID crisis?”

In response, Kate received 653 votes out of 1,922.

Queen Elizabeth received 535, Prince William 475, while Sophie, the Countess of Wessex registered 85.

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall registered 58, Prince Charles 38, Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex 25, Prince Harry 23, while Prince Philip and Edward registered 20 and 10 respectively.

Kate and William have been a constant presence on social media during the pandemic as they connected with the public.

Today, she joined William to meet participants from her lockdown photography competition in London today.

The Duchess launched the, ‘Hold Still’ community photograph project in May, and invited people across the country to send in their own pictures.

There were 31,000 entries from the public in the six weeks since the start of the project.

After appearing today, the 100 pictures chosen will be used across 80 locations in the UK.

“She told me how she wanted to build a snapshot of how Britain was coping in the pandemic, but to show all sides of what people have gone through and are still going through.

“The Duchess came across as really caring and dedicated, I was so impressed she took the time to call me.”

In the US, Harry and Meghan have stated how they have “embraced” every moment with their son Archie.

The pair opened up about their lockdown experience today during a TIME100 event.

Meghan and Harry were asked questions by Time editor-in-chief Edward Felsenthal, who asked what they had done to help them cope throughout the pandemic.

Meghan said in response: “We are trying to embrace all the quality time we get with our son and embrace very moment of his growth and development.

“There’s a lot of stuff to be focused on, a lot of work.

“This is an opportunity to spend more time as a family than we probably would otherwise.”

This poll opened at 2.23pm on October 20 and closed at 10.15pm.
