Lockdown restrictions are to be lifted in parts of Greater Manchester, Lancashire and West Yorkshire where incidence rates have decreased, the Department of Health and Social Care has announced.
Discussions between local leadership, the Health Secretary, NHS Test and Trace, the Joint Biosecurity Centre (JBC) and the Chief Medical Officer in England saw officials agree to make changes to restrictions in some areas.
Two households can mix together in some areas, including Bolton, Stockport, Trafford, Hyndburn and Burnley.
In Leicester, current lockdown restrictions will remain in place for another two weeks because the rate of cases remains high.
