The road crash happened while the officers were dealing with a 999 “incident”. The accident occurred on Moss Bank Way, Bolton at around 7pm.
After the collision, the police van ended up on its side in the road.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed the officers had been taken to hospital as a precaution following the collision.
Reports suggest the officers’ injuries are not believed to be serious.
No one else was reported to have been hurt in the collision on Monday evening.
The police have not yet confirmed if any arrested have been made.
