The Health Secretary was quizzed on the level of dosage of the Pfizer vaccine Britain has secured by Sky News host Niall Paterson. Mr Hancock admitted that currently, only 20 million people in the UK would be able to receive the vaccine, leaving more than two-thirds of the population unvaccinated.
Mr Hancock said: “We have an order secured for 40 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine.
“That means we can roll it out to 20 million people because it requires two doses per person.
“This is why we have been buying across the board.”
