The Duke and Duchess of Sussex appear to be the most in love, according to new research which found the couple talk most about each other in interviews and their body language was highly affectionate on their wedding day.
The analysis, by OnBuy.com, crowned Meghan and Harry as the most romantic royal couple, beating the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge who came in third.
The research analysed seven romantic factors among British royal couples, which included: gifts exchanged, public displays of affection, number of times a partner’s name is mentioned, time spent on honeymoon, compliments given, length of relationship before marriage and body language on their wedding day.
The website then created a points-based index to reveal which of the nine royal couples selected were deemed to be the most romantic.
The maximum score possible was 600, and saw Meghan and Harry take the top spot by quite a significant lead.
The couple, who stood down as senior members of the Royal Family last year, secured a total of 430 points.
They scored the most points out of all the couples for “saying their partner’s name” in interviews, with 90 points.
Meghan and Harry also scored the fewest negative points, -10, for their “length of relationship before marriage”, as it took them less than two years to tie the knot.
The couple also scored highly for their body language on their wedding day (90 points), which took place at Windsor Castle on May 19, 2018.
Prince William and Kate scored 130 fewer points than the Sussexes, ranking as the third most romantic royal couple.

As a result the couple were deducted 30 points for “length of relationship before marriage”, despite the pair knowing each other for years and being embroiled in controversy for leaked love letters and rumours of an affair.
Though the Queen and Prince Philip boast the longest royal relationship, having been married for 73 years, the couple rank fifth on the list with a total of 220 points.
They tie with Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.
Prince Charles and Camilla were the lowest scorers of all royal couples for body language on their wedding day.
Psychologist Lee Chambers gave 10 points to the future king and his second wife and explained the low ranking by comparing their relationship with Her Majesty the Queen and Prince Phillip, who scored 40 points in the category.
He said: “Camilla’s smile is often strained and not full. The couple don’t have the bright eyes the Queen has when she is with Phillip, and don’t mutually gaze at each other often, looking out of synchronisation with the natural rapport of a deep relationship.”
OnBuy.com surveyed 3,568 people on their favourite British royal couples, the nine most voted were then selected for the study.
Points were awarded based on the percentage of articles that mention romantic terms related to each royal couple and body language analysis by Mr Chambers.
