The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s fans have raised just over £90,000 for CAMFED, which works to help educate girls in Africa. The charity announced the astonishing amount in a post on Twitter.
The Sussexes’ fans launched the #InspiredByMeghan fundraiser for Meghan’s birthday back in August.
They switched the hashtag to #InspiredByHarry ahead of Harry turning 36 on Tuesday.
CAMFED said: “7 weeks ago we couldn’t imagine the heights we’d reach with your support, #SussexSquad.
“That’s 50 young women’s futures transformed! Excited for tomorrow…”
Commenting on the charity’s post, one Twitter user said: “If there is one thing the squad will do, it’s raise money for charity.”
Another wrote: “I am amazed, grateful, joyous and just plain happy. To God be the glory!!
“Thank you to the organisers, to the givers and those who promoted by sharing the link.
“Thank you Camfed for all you do helping the young girls and women achieve their education goals.”

A fifth said: “Harry and Meghan are such inspirations. Love being their Stan. And Sussex Squad we are amazing.”
The fundraiser comes as the Queen’s grandson and the former actress are starting a new life in America after quitting royal duties.
Meghan and Harry plunged the monarchy into a period of crisis in January when they revealed plans to step back as senior royals.
It was later announced they would walk away from being working members of the Royal Family and no longer be known as HRH.
They officially ended royal duties on March 31.
The couple are now living in their new £11 million mansion in Santa Barbara with their one-year-old son Archie.
Earlier this month, it was confirmed the Sussexes had paid back the £2.4 million of taxpayers’ money used to renovate their UK home Frogmore Cottage.
This comes after the Harry and Meghan signed a lucrative deal with Netflix to make shows for the streaming service.
