The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have set up the webpage for their charitable ventures which is called Archewell: Compassion in Action. Royal fans are greeted on the platform by a personal signed message from the couple titled; A Letter for 2021. The note is written on a background featuring cherished pictures from the childhoods of both Meghan and Harry.

A young Prince Harry is depicted sitting on the shoulders on his late mother Princess Diana.

In the top right-hand corner a young Meghan is seen beaming a huge smile.

In a joint statement on their homepage, the couple stress the need for humanity to work together in order to create a better world.

They said: “I am my mother’s son. And I am our son’s mother. Together we bring you Archewell.

“We believe in the best of humanity. Because we have seen the best of humanity.

“We have experienced compassion and kindness, from our mothers and strangers alike.

“In the face of fear, struggle and pain, it can be easy to lose sight of this. Together, we can choose courage, healing, and connection.

“Together, we can choose to put compassion in action.

“We invite you to join us. As we work to build a better world, one act of compassion at a time.”

The Archewell organisation has very close links to the name of their first child Archie and the website refers to why the name was chosen.

The site traces the words back to the Ancient Greek language with ‘Arche’ meaning “source of action” and ‘Well’ meaning “a plentiful source or supply; a place we go to dig deep”.
