The Duke and Duchess of Sussex first started seeing each other in the summer of 2016. Later on that year reports emerged that they were dating but they kept a very luxurious New Year’s trip in January 2017 private.
Royal commentators Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand revealed that the Sussexes had taken the private trip in their book Finding Freedom.
They said Prince Harry had arranged for the couple to take a trip to Norway after Christmas.
The experts claimed the trip was partially organised to help Meghan who they said was struggling with the media attention at the time.
In 2017, reports did emerge that the pair took a romantic trip to Norway in January.
But they did not know the details or who had arranged the trip.
Mr Scobie and Ms Durand wrote: “Harry planned a New Year’s trip where they could really get away from it all.
“He rung up his pal Inge Solheim, a Norwegian adventure guide Harry had befriended during a Walking with the Wounded charity trek back in 2011.
“Inge had gone all out for Harry when he was with [ex-girlfriend] Cressida [Bonas], arranging a private 2014 ski trip to Kazakhstan.”

A year later, Meghan spent her first Christmas with the Royal Family at the Sandringham estate after the couple announced their engagement.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had their wedding in the spring of 2018.
The pair shocked the nation earlier this year over their decision to step down as senior members of the Royal Family.
In March, the couple relocated to the US with their baby son Archie.
Since their departure from royal duties, Meghan and Harry have signed deals with the streaming giants Netflix and Spotify.
The Duke and Duchess released the first episode of their podcast on Netflix this week.
The royal couple were joined by a lineup of celebrities including James Corden and Sir Elton John.
The first episode marked the start of their Archewell Audio project.
The Duchess told listeners: “No matter what life throws at you guys, trust us when we say, love wins.”
During the episode, the couple chose not to discuss their own experiences of 2020 but instead decided to invite the celebrities who they “admire, and get their thoughts on what they learned from 2020″.
