The Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry are currently in California after announcing they would stand down from senior Royal Family life earlier this year. More recently, Prince Harry announced that he is planning to come back to the UK next year and would have returned sooner were it not for the coronavirus pandemic. And when he returns, Prince Harry could be back to enjoy one of his biggest passions in life, and finally take his wife Meghan to watch it with him.
Harry’s love of rugby is well-known after he was made vice-patron of the Rugby Football Union, and played an active role in securing the World Cup which would be played on home soil in 2015.
Throughout the years, he has been spotted at numerous England games, often handing out winners medals in tournaments such as the Six Nations.
And should spectators be allowed back into grounds by next year if the virus threat diminishes, Harry could watch his beloved England again.
‘Pod Save the Queen’ is hosted by Ann Gripper and features Daily Mirror royal editor Russell Myers.
Ms Gripper in 2019 said: “Last Saturday England were playing in the rugby and, we said, maybe this time Meghan will go to the rugby?”
Prince Harry had been at Twickenham Stadium in London to watch England beat France in their 44-8 Six Nations victory.
However, Ms Gripper continued: “She still hasn’t been to the rugby!
“Harry clearly loves going to the rugby.

The tournament is being held in the UK late next year, and he hoped to view the action, as part of his role as a patron of the Rugby Football League.
In a video call, Harry said: “We’ve got a whole Rugby League World Cup coming next year, so I definitely plan on coming back.
“I would have been back already had it not been for COVID.”
“Full respect to anyone who plays the game, I think it’s amazing.
“I think a lot of people would be jealous not to be part of that community.”
