The Duchess of Sussex has also turned Prince Harry into a “better man”, the analyst claims. Meghan, along with Harry, left their royal roles behind last spring and currently reside in California.
Sean Smith, a royal biographer, has said Meghan brought a “great deal of charisma” to the Royal Family which is now missing following their departure.
In addition, Mr Smith has said that Prince Harry’s time in the armed forces – which included tours of Afghanistan – “was the making of him”.
However, speaking to the Daily Star, he added: “His service career turned the boy into a man and his partnership with Meghan Markle has turned him into a better man.”
Prince Harry has recently hit out at misinformation spread on social media platforms, pointing to recent events such as the US Capitol unrest.
Harry directly linked this incident to the power of social media.
Speaking to website Fast Company, the Duke said: “We are losing loved ones to conspiracy theories, losing a sense of self because of the barrage of mistruths, and at the largest scale, losing our democracies.
“There was a literal attack on democracy in the United States, organised on social media, which is an issue of violent extremism.
“It is widely acknowledged that social media played a role in the genocide in Myanmar and was used as a vehicle to incite violence against the Rohingya people, which is a human rights issue.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex now live in the Californian region of Santa Barbara, following a brief time in Los Angeles.
While Meghan may have stepped back from the big screen for now, the couple have signed a deal with streaming service Netflix to produce content for the platform.
