The Duchess of Sussex is rumoured to be considering book deals since stepping down as a senior member of the Royal Family. Last week, Meghan’s half-sister Samantha Markle released a tell-all book about the turbulent relationships within the Duchess’ family.
In her new book, ‘The Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister: A Memoir, Part One’ Samantha claimed Meghan was “controlling”.
However, sources have said Meghan was not bothered about the revealing memoir and is even considering a book deal herself.
Speaking to Vanity Fair, a friend of the Duchess of Sussex said the book has “barely registered on her radar”.
They continued: “Meghan has not seen Samantha for years so the idea that she is worried about the book is nonsense.
“Meghan barely knows Samantha, they haven’t seen each other for nearly 20 years.”
The friend added: “Meghan has some very serious book deals on the table. They are all up for consideration.”
Royal commentator, Daniela Elser, explained how no royal has ever “lifted the lid” on the family in a book before.
She wrote on news.com.au: “No member of the royal house has ever put pen to paper and actually lifted the lid on the inner workings of the world’s most famous family.”

The royal expert added: “But life has changed, spectacularly, seismically, and irrevocably, over the last 12 months (obviously in many, many ways).”
But Ms Elser highlights how it is unlikely that Meghan will expose her husband’s relatives in a tell-all book.
She added: “Rather, given that she is building a brand and philanthropic portfolio focused on positivity and compassion, chances are any sort of book would be in line with these values.
“That is, it would be some sort of title that elevates women’s voices and is an inspiring, Michelle Obama-esque read.
“However, pretty much any sort of book written in the first person would require her to share some of her own thoughts and experiences and even that would be a departure from the status quo and even the slimmest hint of some literary soul-baring seems unlikely to warm the cockles of any courtiers’ hearts.”
Despite the fact the pair have not seen each other for nearly two decades, Meghan’s half-sister has claimed the Duchess is “not the same”.
Samantha claimed that Meghan was “mean” on the phone to her father as soon as Prince Harry left the room.
In her book, Samantha wrote: “I said, ‘Dad, what’s going on, what’s wrong?’
“He said, ‘This is really weird, she’s not the same.
“When Harry is in the room, she is very sweet and a different person, but when he steps out of the room, she is mean and controlling.'”
