Mrs Mulroney was fired from her CTV reality show I Do, Redo after allegedly “threatening” the livelihood of Sasha Exeter, a black lifestyle blogger. The row took place after Mrs Mulroney took “offence” to the bloggers online comments about the Black Lives Matter movement. Meghan and Ms Mulroney have been long-standing friends since the Duchess starred in Suits. Rumours persisted after the race row that Meghan had distanced herself from Ms Mulroney.
But Ms Mulroney has claimed Meghan and her are still “family”, with the Duchess checking in with her daily.
The former presenter said on her Instagram story: “I’m going to tell this once and for all. Meghan and I are family.
“She is the kindest friend and has checked up on me every day.
“Tabloid culture is atrocious. It creates lies and hurtful storylines. Stop feeding into it. Done.”

In August, Ms Mulroney returned to Instagram after a hiatus following the race row.
She penned a touching tribute to her husband Ben Mulroney and her two sons, Brian and John.
She said: “My incredible family have had to witness mum in the worst state.
“These two boys have not left my side and gave me the will to live and work hard when everything fell apart.
“They deserve the best birthday. Only up from here.”
The comments from Ms Mulroney came after rumours Meghan had distanced herself from the TV presenter over the row.
But magazine Page Six cited an anonymous source close to the pair who claimed Meghan and Ms Mulroney’s friendship was already in a hard place before the controversy.
The magazine, quoting another source close to the friends, said Meghan felt Ms Mulroney was “benefiting” her career from their friendship.
The source said: “I don’t know what the tipping point was, but Jess has been on the outs for some time.
“Their friendship is definitely not what it was. And really, how can you have such a close friendship when one person is basically making a career out of the friendship?”
Entertainment Weekly also cited a source close to Meghan who claimed she struggled with the race row.
According to the source, the Duchess found it “painful” to learn Ms Mulroney made such “misguided and insensitive comments”.
Meghan also felt Ms Mulroney was “so tone deaf while using her privilege to bully Sasha Exeter”.
Another source added to the Duchess told Entertainment Weekly: “Meghan and Harry have always supported policies of diversity and inclusivity.”
A source close to the Duchess told the Daily Mail Meghan was left “mortified” by the row, and felt like she could “no longer be associated” with Ms Mulroney.
They said: “Meghan is absolutely mortified that she’s been dragged into this complete mess.
“She said Jessica is in no way a racist, but the way she handled the situation was tone-deaf and heartbreaking.
“Meghan said friends reflect friends and because of what’s at stake she can no longer be associated with Jessica, at least not in public.”
Ms Mulroney has apologised on multiple for the race row with Ms Exeter.
