The Los Angeles native married Prince Harry back in 2018 but has not yet received British citizenship.
Although she is now granddaughter in law to the woman who provides it, it still takes some time for her to get it.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, a friend said: “Meghan is not yet a British citizen.
“It might seem extraordinary, given that she’s been married to the Queen’s grandson for 18 months, but she accepts that it’s a slow process.”
