Meghan’s mother has supported the Duke and Duchess of Sussex throughout their relationship and has now stepped in to help the pair through the tragedy of their miscarriage. This week, Meghan revealed the pair had lost their second child in July, in a heartbreaking moment for the couple. Since their loss, Ms Ragland has been helping the pair get through this desperately challenging time, according to a source.
The source told US Weekly: “She’s guiding Harry and Meghan — helping them heal and come to terms with their painful loss.
“But for anyone who has suffered from a miscarriage, it’s something you never fully get over.”
The source also added how the pair are now focusing on their future as they attempt to recover from the terrible loss.
They also added Meghan and Harry had decided to keep the matter private until now due to it being “too raw” to speak about at the time.
Since revealing the miscarriage of their second child, Meghan has been praised for shedding a light on the tough topic.
Using her own experience, the Duchess of Sussex has asked for those who have experienced something similar to commit to asking others of their own state of mind.
In an op-ed The New York Times, Meghan spoke of how she felt a sharp cramp in her stomach while changing Archie’s diaper.
Meghan, who gave birth to Archie in May 2019, spoke of her incredible grief following the miscarriage.

“I think Meghan is absolutely right, there is a taboo still.
“And there is a taboo talking about all death and all loss, we’re just not great as a culture talking about things that make us sad or really open us up emotionally.
“I think there’s an increase in taboo talking about baby loss, because it’s very much seen as being something a couple goes through, and that’s a private thing.”
Other royals were also informed of Meghan and Harry’s loss but also kept the matter private.
Harry and Meghan moved to California after announcing they would be stepping back as senior royals in January this year.
The measures unveiled following the announcement will be reviewed in 2021 by the pair and senior royals.
