The Duchess of Sussex has had a similar lifestyle to Princess Sofia of Sweden, who married into the Swedish royal family in 2015. Both royals have in common that they left a life in the limelight as celebrities behind once they met their now-husbands.
While Meghan was already known at the time she met Prince Harry for her role in TV drama Suits, she spent time in her earlier acting career as a “suitcase girl” for the US version of game show Deal Or No Deal.
Sofia also enjoyed a certain degree of fame before marrying Prince Carl Philip of Sweden.
She was a model and participated in the Swedish reality show Paradise Hotel.
The Swedish princess made it through to the final of the show, which featured a group of singles living at a luxury hotel.
One of her most controversial moments on the screen showed her kissing 41-year-old American porn star Jenna Jameson.
Meghan and Sofia also have in common that both had no royal links before meeting Harry and Carl Philip.
Despite their success on-screen, both royals were commoners before marrying royalty.
Recently, Princess Sofia admitted she would never want a version of “Megxit” to happen within Sweden’s royal family.

She said: “Since I became a princess, I have been through many identity crises.
“Here in South Africa I have a type of identity and when I come home I have something else.
“Here I am allowed to be who I want to be.”
Following their decision to step back as senior members of the Royal Family, Meghan and Prince Harry moved to California in the United States.
The couple recently purchased a £11.2m property the boasts nine bedrooms and 16 bathrooms in the quiet area of Montecito.
Speaking to PEOPLE a source close to the couple explained why the Sussexes chose the location.
The source said: “They were craving a smaller community and a slower pace — Montecito is very mellow, a charming little town and the Santa Barbara area offers an ideal lifestyle that they’re looking forward to.
“They feel like the future holds endless possibility.
“They can hope to give Archie as normal a life as possible there.
“They feel the new house is a place of peace — and it offers inspiration to build Archwell, which they’re focused on.”
