The 39-year-old was once best known for playing the role of attorney Rachel Zane in hit TV show Suits, spanning seven series from 2011. Now one of the most famous people in the world, she faces a huge amount of scrutiny on a daily basis.
Speaking to Women’s Health in 2016, before meeting Harry for the first time, Meghan revealed her fitness regime.
She said physical and mental health are her principal reasons for working out, and cites her mum as a great inspiration.
The unearthed interview comes as a source told PA the couple are in a “very good place” after a “turbulent 12 months for everyone in the world”.
Meghan said: “My mom was a yoga instructor so that practice is in my blood.
“I love an intense vinyasa class – and even better if it’s blasting hip-hop and done in a dark room with candlelight. The best.
“Running has always been my form of moving meditation, which I relish because it allows me to get out of my head.”
“I also work closely with a personal trainer named Craig McNamee when I am filming Suits in Toronto.”
On self-love, she said: “What do I see when I look in the mirror? My freckles. And I love them.”
Meghan and Prince Harry’s relationship blossomed in July 2016 after a blind date. They made their first public outing as a couple in 2017.
On May 19, 2018, they were married at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.

The source told PA: “After a very turbulent 12 months for everyone in the world and massive changes of moving country and all the rest of it, they have also been very vocal about what they have gone through in their own personal life.
“They have a house. They have created the financial independence that they were after.
“I think that they are in a very good place.”
