Prince Charles has hit out at “conventional” farming techniques due to the “pollution” that they cause. The Prince of Wales was speaking to author Margaret Attwood as she guest-edited BBC Radio 4’s Today show. The royal heir has long been a great believer in climate change and an outspoken advocate against “destroying” the environment.
The Prince told Radio 4: “Farming in this overt, excessive, conventional way is polluting us as well as nature’s own ecosystems.
“That’s why I’ve always felt that the polluter should pay.
“If you introduced a polluter pay system, it would instantly start to get us onto the right track, let’s put it that way.”
