Over the weekend, the Government confirmed all primary schools across London will remain closed for the start of the new term in a bid to curb the number of cases of the coronavirus pandemic.
This means Prince George and Princess Charlotte will, like millions of schoolchildren, be unable to return to Thomas’s Battersea school.
Prince George is currently in Year 3 while Charlotte is in Year 1.
It is also believed Prince William and Kate’s youngest child Prince Louis would be starting nursery this week.
Prince Louis was speculated to be enrolling at Willcocks Nursery School, following in the footsteps of his older sister.
But due to the ongoing coronavirus restrictions, the enrolment is likely to be postponed.
During the first lockdown last year, William and Kate were forced to homeschool their children.
Last year, William opened up about the “chaos” that sometimes reigns in his family, with a hilarious anecdote about his three children.
He said his children go wild at parties and events, adding: “Then the sugar kicks in and it’s all chaos after that.”

This comes after the Royal Family were forced to have a quiet Christmas.
Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince William offered to save Christmas Day for the Middleton family.
However, their plans were ruined all over again when the new tier restrictions were introduced just before Christmas.
After both Berkshire and London were moved into Tier 3, the Cambridges offered to host Christmas at their Norfolk home, Anmer Hall, which was in Tier 2.
The Queen also faced heartbreak after being forced to have a stripped-back Christmas.
Her hopes of having a socially distanced, festive visit from the Prince of Wales were dashed when Windsor was put into Tier 4.
For the first time in 33 years, the Royal Family’s annual Christmas in Sandringham was made impossible due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip usually host members of the Firm for Christmas in their Norfolk home.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, the Queen and Prince Philip had already decided to spend the week alone at Windsor Castle.
Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, had hoped to visit the Queen at some point during the festive season.
