Following on from Omid’s comments, Maggie described Lupo’s death as an “emotional trip down memory lane” for the royal couple.
She said: “I’m sure it’s kind of a walk down memory lane for them.
“I often find with people and their dogs, you know, it’s such a moment in their lives you know.
“When you got the dog you’re a young couple, and then all of a sudden together they’ve had this dog, they’ve had the children, the kids are growing up with the dog.
“I mean it’s almost more, remembering the dog is more than the dog even, it’s also remembering the past few years of their life.
“And so, seeing that on Instagram it was pretty emotional.”
