Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shocked the world when they announced they were stepping back from royal life earlier this year but that has not stopped the pair from keeping in regular contact with the Queen, royal experts have said. Next year will likely see the review of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s so-called Megxit agreement with Her Majesty and Harry hopes to meet “face-to-face to tie it all up”, according to royal biographer Andrew Morton.
Mr Morton added the Duke is hopeful of making a return to the UK to speak the Queen and join in several Royal Family celebrations in 2021.
His remarked have been echoed by Sean Smith, the author of Meghan Misunderstood, who revealed the couple like to update the Queen and other members of the Royal Family on one-year-old Archie.
Mr Smith said: “I presume they have Zoom calls and Meghan participates in them.
“Particularly with the Queen I understand, showing how much Archie has grown this week.”

Prince Harry is understood to want to return to the UK, coronavirus restrictions permitting, to celebrate the Queen’s 95th birthday on April 21 and Prince Philip’s important milestone in June when the Duke of Edinburgh turns 100.
There is also the unveiling of a statue of Princess Diana on July 1, on what would have been her 60th birthday, which Prince Harry doesn’t want to miss.
Mr Morton told on Sunday: “Although they will do some of it by Zoom, Harry wants to meet face-to-face to tie it all up. Things seem to have calmed down.
“Harry has been in contact with the Queen more often than you would think. But certain things you need to be there in person to sort.
“They will need a few weeks. That could be done after April, depending on Covid.”
However, some insider have suggested a Megxit review will not be needed as the couple have “made it clear they want to live an independent life”.
The agreement struck between the Sussexes, the Queen, Prince Charles and Prince William saw the couple cease to be working royals and with the it dropping the use of their HRH styles and royal branding.
Meghan and Harry have already secured two huge commercial deals including a multi-year Netflix agreement which is estimated to be worth around £100million and a further deal with Spotify to produce podcasts.
The pair have also begun to launch their charity foundation Archewell with copyright and trademark applications submitted and a website with a mailing list unveiled in October.
The Spotify podcasts will be part of the couple’s future plans for ‘Archewell Audio’.

Another said: “Harry and Meg are happier than they have ever been. Why would they want to return?”
