Prince Harry, 36, spoke about racism in an interview with Black Lives Matter activist Patrick Hutchinson for GQ magazine. The Duke of Sussex said that his “upbringing and education” did not help him understand the issue of unconscious bias. But Robert Jobson has attacked Harry for his comments. Speaking to True Royalty TV, Mr Jobson said: “I remember him making racial slurs about an Asian officer which was filmed by himself and distributed by his friends and he had to apologise for making racial comments.”
Mr Jobson referred to a leaked video of Harry in 2009 where he called fellow soldier Ahmed Raza Khan “our little P*** friend”.
Harry apologised for the remark which was made during his training at Sandhurst Military Academy during 2006.A statement from St James’s Palace, regarding the term “P***”, said: “Prince Harry fully understands how offensive this term can be, and is extremely sorry for any offence his words might cause.
“However, on this occasion three years ago, Prince Harry used the term without any malice and as a nickname about a highly popular member of his platoon.
“There is no question that Prince Harry was in any way seeking to insult his friend.”

The statement continued: “Prince Harry used the term ‘raghead’ to mean Taleban or Iraqi insurgent.”
In the podcast with GQ, Harry said: “Once you realise or you feel a little bit uncomfortable, then the onus is on you to go out and educate yourself because ignorance is no longer an excuse.
“And unconscious bias, from my understanding, having the upbringing and the education that I had, I had no idea what it was.
“I had no idea it existed.
Producer Lizzie Robinson added: “We know that this is one of the issues that Meghan really wants to use her voice to promote and to do as much work on as possible.
“Interestingly during that chat, Prince Harry spoke a little bit about his own education.
“He obviously had an incredibly privileged education.
“He went Eton and he said during that podcast that he now sees his schooling as amazing but he certainly probably wasn’t grateful for it at the time.”
Mr Ship noted: “Had he gone to a local comprehensive he might have acknowledged how good Eton was.”
Ms Robinson continued: “He’s looking back now and noticing how lucky he was.”
