Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shocked the world this year as they made a bombshell announcement that they would be leaving the UK. Since then, Meghan, Harry and their young son Archie Harrison, have moved into a Montecito mansion in Santa Barbara, California. However, a number of controversial moves from the pair has seen calls for them to be stripped of their royal titles – but there is one title that Harry will never lose.
No matter what happens going forward, even if Meghan and Harry want to move further away from the monarchy, he will always be Prince Harry.
The Queen’s grandson was born into the title as the child of Charles, Prince of Wales and Diana, Princess of Wales.
The title in question that Harry has been stripped of is HRH.
According to BBC’s History Extra, HRH titles were limited to only the children and grandchildren of a sovereign int he male like by Queen Victoria in the 1830s.

Additionally, it is worth noting Harry hasn’t completely turned his back on the royal family – just the title.
Harry’s situation is unlike that of Edward VIII, the Queen’s uncle, who abdicated to marry American divorcee Wallis Simpson in 1936.
In doing so, Prince Edward lost his HRH title and the Windsor dukedom that he was due to be gifted after his wedding.
This led to King George VI, the Queen’s father, becoming King of the UK and Commonwealth.
Prince Harry’s son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten Windsor, doesn’t have a royal title.
Meghan and Harry’s decision to refrain from giving their son a title likely stems from the desire for him to live as normal a life as possible.
Anne, Princess Royal, made the same decision for her two children, Zara Tindall and Peter Phillips.
Princess Eugenie, the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York, has recently announced she is pregnant with her first child, and it’s believed she won’t give her baby a title either.
