Royal biographer Omid Scobie tweeted: “Prince Harry will join an all-star lineup to honor veterans and their families on November 18. The ‘Stand for Heroes comedy event airs on ABCNewsLive and will see the Duke appear (virtually) alongside the likes of Jon Stewart, Tiffany Haddish, Sheryl Crow, and Bruce Springsteen.
Fans of Prince Harry commented on Mr Scobie’s tweet saying: “This is the perfect event for Harry where he can continue to actively honor and support veterans on a global international scale.”
Another tweeted: “Proud of Prince Harry, for all he’s done and continues to do.
The ‘Stand Up for Heroes’ event will run online on November 18 at 9 pm eastern time in the US, which is 2 am UK time.
The organisers of the event call it an “annual night of hope, healing, and laughter, featuring a star-studded lineup and inspirational veteran stories”.
It is organised by the Bob Woodruff Foundation which helps support post-9/11 impacted veterans, service members, their families and caregivers.
The news comes after the Royal Family was criticised by fans of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex after courtiers at Buckingham Palace refused to grant Prince Harry’s request for a Remembrance Day wreath.
