However like many people in the UK, the changes to Christmas restrictions has meant many people must stick to one household over the festive period.
This means the Queen and Prince Philip can’t be joined by members of their family for this Christmas.
This year will be the first time the Royal Family have skipped Christmas at Sandringham in favour of Windsor Castle for 33 years.
A Buckingham Palace spokesperson said: “Having considered all the appropriate advice, the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh have decided that this year they will spend Christmas quietly in Windsor.”
