Royal commentator Katie Nicholl told Channel 5 that Prince William was concerned that Prince Harry’s romance with Meghan Markle was moving too fast. She further claimed that Duke of Sussex was frustrated by his brother’s advice and their relationship has not been the same since.
Ms Nicholl said: “William was quite concerned that the relationship had moved so quickly and being close to Harry, probably the only person close enough, sai to Harry ‘this seems to be moving quickly are you sure?’
“I think what was meant as, you know, well-intended brotherly advice, but it just riled Harry.
“Harry is hugely protective of Meghan, he saw that as criticism.
“He interpreted that as his brother not really being behind it.

“I think things have not been quite right ever since.”
During the Royally Obsessed podcast, hosts Roberta Fiorito and Rachel Bowie discussed the rift between Prince William and Prince Harry.
Ms Fiorito stated that the distance between the two brothers grew after Prince William suggested that Prince Harry needed to take time to get to know Meghan Markle.
Ms Bowie said: “William called Meghan ‘this girl’ to Harry and it kind of undermined them.”
“What I found interesting was just that Kate was and is intensely loyal to Prince William.
“So, I can understand that if there was some sort of discord between the two then if there wasn’t a chance of them coming together as a friendship maybe they divided.”
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stepped down as senior members of the Royal Family in March 2020.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been allowed to keep their royal titles despite leaving the monarchy but have since launched a series on independent projects to become “financially independent” from the Crown.
