The royal fan wrote to the Princess Royal on her 70th birthday last month. And they shared the thank you card they received from Anne in a post on Instagram this week.
The card features an elegant photo of the Queen’s daughter.
It reads: “The Princess Royal appreciated your kind thoughts on the occasion of her 70th birthday, and sends you her thanks and best wishes for the future.”
The royal fan wrote on their theroyalmailbox Instagram account: “I received this lovely reply for Princess Anne’s 70th Birthday!
“I am very impressed with the quality of the card, it is beautiful!”
They added that they sent their card to Anne on August 1 and the reply arrived on August 28.
The post prompted a string of comments from other royal watchers.
One wrote: “That’s a fast reply! i love the card!”
Another said: “How lovely! Something to treasure.”

Speaking in the ITV documentary Anne: The Princess Royal at 70, which was broadcast earlier this year, her daughter Zara Tindall said: “Age is not a thing to her it’s, you know, very much the more she keeps doing the younger she’ll stay.”
Anne replied: “Slow down, I thought I had slowed down.
“I think the thing that nags away at you is that after all this time you should have learnt something.
“And there is an element of responsibility to make sure that you kind of knit that knowledge together and pass that on.”
Royal fans were quick to take to social media to comment on Anne’s stylish face covering.
One Twitter user wrote: “That’s the best looking mask I’ve ever seen!”
Another said: “Princess Anne’s face mask. That is all.”
A third added: “I love her mask!!!!”
