Princess Beatrice will celebrate her first birthday as a newlywed on Saturday as she turns 32. The special milestone falls just weeks after her secret wedding to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi that was kept quiet from the public until after the ceremony on July 17.
Princess Beatrice is famously close to her sister Princess Eugenie, 30, who is understood to have been the maid of honour at her sister’s big day last month.
While Princess Eugenie and Beatrice spent lockdown apart, since the Government eased social distancing measures, the sisters may have been able to spend more time together.
Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank spent lockdown at the York’s family home the Royal Lodge in Great Windsor Park with her parents Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.
Seeing as Beatrice held her wedding reception in the grounds of the Royal Lodge it may also prove to be the perfect spot for a socially-distanced birthday party.

He told Express.co.uk: “They were in the unenviable position of having to postpone what was originally planned as rather a grand wedding in May, owing to the pandemic.”
“Also the controversy which continues to surround Andrew made any public appearance by him unwise.
“The decision, therefore, to concentrate on the happy couple and Beatrice’s grandparents in the photographs released to the public was an excellent one, as well as the only practical one.
“Aided by fabulous floral backgrounds, they looked extremely happy together.”
MR Fitzwillaims added: “The real coup, however, was the presence of the Queen and Prince Philip and, at 99, he looked in splendid form and is involved in a ceremony on Wednesday when the Duchess of Cornwall replaces him as Colonel-in-Chief of the Rifles.
“Beatrice’s sister Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank were present but did not appear in any of the photos either.
“Since this wedding was a well-kept secret, this choice of photographs made total sense.
“If Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, who live together at nearby Royal Lodge, had been included in them there would have been instant controversy.
“It was a tiny gathering and in accordance with government guidelines. They will undoubtedly celebrate later.
“Meanwhile the way this was handled made total sense.”
