Since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced they were moving away from senior Royal Family duties, the spotlight has focused on other Windsors, with the likes of Beatrice and Eugenie taking on more roles. Both have given interviews recently, and Princess Beatrice has also endeared herself to the public thanks to her secret wedding last month to property developer Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. But in one interview in 2018 with Vogue, the sisters appeared to say their social lives had been hampered as a result of being members of the Royal Family, which was blasted by experts.
Discussing it at length, the sisters said: “Growing up in the media, it’s…interesting.
“We’ve had some serious grounding from our parents. They’ve had their fair share of terrible media interest and it makes us stronger.
“We believe very strongly in who we are, and the support system of our friends and our family is pretty incredible. There’s no point being angry with anyone for beating us up – we just need to shine light and love in the world.”
They added: “We want to show people who we are as working, young, royal women, but also not to be afraid of putting ourselves out there.”

And when reviewing the interview, which came months after Meghan and Harry wed, Mr Myers said the interview was “a tad ridiculous”.
He added: “It’s pretty cringeworthy in my opinion.
“The very fact that they are talking about the pressures of their personal lives, about being young independent women while being members of the Royal Family – it’s just a bit too much to stomach for some people, myself included.

Speaking in September to the same publication, Eugenie said: “At the moment I’m picking up the mantle of anti-plastics, so I work with Project Zero which has just partnered with Sky Ocean Rescue.
“Together, they’re trying to end single-use plastic.
“My whole house is anti-plastic now. Jack and I want our wedding to be like that as well – we’ve got to look after this planet.”
The main issue surrounding plastics is that it emits methane, which contributes to the greenhouse effect.
In July of that year, Eugenie was made the Ambassador of Project Zero, which is bidding to restore the planet’s oceans and protect all of its inhabitants.
